#TLDR: Our values not only define who we are but also permeate through our culture and strongly impact our business processes including hiring and client interactions. Here is our eighth value #transparency
#Transparency and #fairness are two sides of the same coin at #PBJAM. #Faireness has been a strong family tradition and as I grew up, the implication of being fair became being transparent. No matter what my role was, whether an individual contributor or a people leader, I strived for #transparency and #fairness at work. It is one of my core values as a people leader.
At #PBJAM, #transparency means not allowing ourselves to be swayed by #firstimpressions. It means avoiding making #assumptions and instead focusing on #activelistening. Our #why at #PBJAM is to increase access to #effective, #affordable, and #sciencebased professional development. #transparency means understanding the #why of our #stakeholders is always as important to us as is explaining our #why to them.
At #PBJAM, #transparency also means that we are courageous enough to have difficult conversations without feeling awkward or insecure. We rise above #officepolitics and make space for #constructive #transparent discussions. It is not about #individual win or loss, but always about the bigger goal of making #professional #development better in the long run. We actively encourage and celebrate #transparency of actions and communication.
How has #transparency worked for you at your job? What made being #transparent difficult yet worthwhile for you? What factors make #transparency easy to practice at work? What makes it difficult?
